About

Hungry Cub has been, and will be, evolving for some time. I can’t pinpoint the moment of beginning and I have no idea where it will lead. So what is it right now?…

It’s snacks, treats, baking and desserts. With the odd savory meal thrown in just to keep things ‘balanced’.

It’s the kind of food I love to dream about. Everywhere. Anywhere. All the time. Awake or asleep.

It’s the beauty, the wonder, the awe, the love, the provision, the inspiration, and the responsibility for my daughter; our gorgeous little “Cub”.

It’s as good as I can get it. With my resources and ability I try to use fresh, organic, whole, unprocessed, and free range. I certainly don’t always manage that with everything (single income families have to make cuts somewhere) but I try to make informed decisions where I can.

It’s wholefood. It’s real food. And its GOOD to eat.

It’s me; Beth. And my hungry cub.

Me and my girl

hi there, might be a long shot but was wondering if there was anywhere I could buy your yummy treats from? I’ve decided to try and stop all this sugar that I’m eating but I’m just about to have my third baby and finding the time to bake just now is a bit tricky. probably a dumb time to do this haha but if I don’t try now when I’ve got it in my head I may never!!! Many thanks, Kelly

Hi Kelly! Thanks for your message 🙂 Unfortunately I don’t sell my treats anywhere at the moment, I currently only provide recipes – but I’m working towards it! What part of NZ do you live in? Because there are some wonderful places around which sell similar (gluten, dairy, & refined sugar free) items. Hopefully one day soon I’ll be adding my name to the list 🙂

Thanks for your reply and look forward to when we can buy them too!! I love in Auckland so will keep my eyes peeled for these places. Until then I’ll keep baking your recipes 🙂
